A Mastering Overview

Mastering is as much a communication process as it is a technical process - it is the last chance to make any final adjustments to your recordings that help your ideas translate to the listener.

In simple terms, mastering is the process of assembling a potentially diverse set of mixes into a cohesive final product.  Level and equalization are optimized to suit the artist's intentions and the release format; and tracks are sequenced, spaced, edited and faded as necessary to create a seamless listening experience.

We've put together this part of the website to help you gain an understanding of what might be involved in a typical mastering session and what your options are, in the hopes that it will help you prepare for your session and take full advantage of what we offer.  Please do not hesitate to call or email with any questions you might have.
