Feedback is tricky

If you have a point of view and you’re making something specific (and you should be!), in most cases the friend, family member, partner, etc that you ask for feedback will not be the target audience or have the professional skill to offer anything useful. Acting on this type of feedback can only dull the work.

“I don’t like this” is very different from “the people you hope will like this, won’t.”

Feedback from the crowd ≠  feedback from the thin slice of early adopters that embraces work like yours.  Weight them accordingly.
