The Studio

Archive Mastering is a dedicated audio mastering facility, located just outside of Halifax, NS, Canada. Owned and operated by J. LaPointe, our main studio is the only mastering room of its caliber east of Montreal.

Specializing in high quality CD, digital, and vinyl mastering for the independent music community worldwide, Archive Mastering combines extensive technical knowledge with a unique and relaxed work environment to provide an ideal place to put the finishing touches on your recording.

The studio building is a former sailboat builder's shop, now converted into a five room studio, housing a large mastering room, client lounge, machine/technical room, and two private tracking rooms. All rooms are mechanically isolated on their own concrete slabs with floating interior walls, and designed from the ground up for accurate acoustics.
